Not Wanting to go to a Kilts Night.
The Vancouver Monthly kilts night is tonight and I have absolutely no desire to go.It is because I have partied too much and too hard during the Winter Olympic. I lost my voice after the Gold Medal game and it took me two days to recover. I just want to stay home and get a rest.
Eversince the Hockey Tournament started, I was hitting the pub and drinking too much. I couldn't believe all the beer that I have consumed during that 12 days period. Being a hockey nut that I am, I watched every game. I drank so much that I decided to take a break from drinking.
I still can't believe that I rather stay home with a tea and cigar than going out!!!

You don't have to drink at a kilt night.
Just sayin'

Sounds like a wise choice to me. Take care of your throat as much as you can, especially after recovering from screaming your voice out.
You might want to forgo the cigar, too.

Getting older is preferable to not getting older.

Go, and drink coffee. You'll kick yourself in the morning if you miss Kilt Night...!

Follow the Leafs, then the need to party is over. The need to drink is still there though!

I know the feeling, I too started slowing down when I hit 40.
