My kilt finally arrived....
Hello all, its time for another exciting chapter in the ongoing saga of "Eric Schutte's first Kilt".......we know join our world famous super slueth as he recieves his kilt......
I received my kilt from Starthmore Woollens with great excitement as I opened the package and looked inside.....whats this? OMG its the wrong tartan!
OK kids here is the story. Strathmore Woollens made a small mistake and thought I wanted a 16 oz MacLean of Duart Modern when what I asked for was a 16 oz. MacLean of Duart HUNTING modern. I pointed out the mistake to Jonathon Brown of Strathmore Woollens.
To make a really long story short, he let me keep the MacLean Modern and stated I could order the Maclean Hunting Modern for a GREATLY reduced price (93.00 GBP) DELIVERED. He even put the MacLean Hunting Modern on RUSH at no extra charge. I ended up getting 2 beautiful 16 oz kilts delivered to my door for 641.93 USD total. That's right I said TOTAL.
No THAT is service. I would HIGHLY recommend Starthmore Woollens to anyone.
I am now OFFICIALLY kilted!! YAHOO! or as us leathernecks like to say....OOOHHHRRRAAAHHH!!

That's the kind of mistake I wouldn't mind. It certainly speaks well of Strathmore Woolens customer service.

Very good! Strathmore (and Jo Brown) is a good company to deal with.

Sweet. You will absolutely love Strathmore's 16 oz tartan----excellent boddy, very fine finish, good slightly drapy hand, esceptional selvedge. Since their 16 oz tartans are typically custom runs, getting not just one but two tanks in 16oz Stratmore W100 is a tremendous deal. Yahoo and congrats. My envy abounds.
But, as stated above, NO PICTURES IT DIDN"T HAPPEN!

Congratulations. Strathmore understands customer service, and marketing. Your testament to their correcting a mistake is better than any advertising. I'll certainly take a look at them.

Sounds like it the day for new kilts! I got mine today, too. Just one for me, though, so color me a little jealous... although not much! I look forward to the pics (which is why I haven't yet posted a brag thread... no pix!)
