Just a quick mention, esquire.com gives tacit approval of kilt wearing. See number 14: http://www.esquire.com/the-side/styl...-advice-032510

That is sort of a backhanded recommendation. And I should be concerned about their advice why?

I'm sure they stuck it in more as a joke than anything else, but it's nice to know that the kilt has gained a reputation for its comfort even among non-kilties. Comfort has become one of my top reasons for wearing the kilt. And heck, people who joke about it now may be more apt to try it out for themselves sometime down the road.

An almost uniformly smarmy article if I ever saw one.
I was never very fond of smarm......

Yeah, I was hesitant to post the link since I agree with pretty much nothing in the article. I like those driving shoes though, I've never seen those before.

Well yes, but you're not "allowed" to wear socks with them.

I don't know about those driving shoes. Personally, the only driving shoes I wear are these. Then again, I take my driving a bit more seriously than most.

I realize this is now the third time I've linked to a style website that I don't really like, so I'll remedy that by sharing this link: http://permanentstyle.blogspot.com/
Written by a youngish guy in London, it's not kilt related but focuses on classic British style. The posts in the sidebar under the headings "Philosophy" and "The Rules and How to Break Them" are particularly good. As I said, it's not about kilt wearing at all, but I think many of the principles he talks about can be applied directly to putting together kilt outfits.

Wicked good link, there.
Found this...related directly to our wearing of kilts...tho he doesn't mention them explicitly, I think we may draw a few conclusions .
