    Sporran Help

I have decided I want to try my hand at sporran making. I already know what I want the basic layout to be, but I have no idea what to put on the flap as decoration, apart form using a Celtic knot concho as a closure. I want to carve something with knot work into it. I know this isn't very Scottish, but I really love the design of Mjolnir (Thor's hammer), and I was thinking of using this as a design. Does anyone else think this would look good? Or do you have any other ideas? Many thanks.

I would say that whatever you fancy, should be what you put on it.

Perhaps carving the Hammer into the center and knot work surrounding it...or depict the handle having knot work 'carved into it'.....
