I really liked Dennis Hopper ! He always chose roles with a bit of bite to them. I guess I'll play my Easy Rider DVD tonight in honour of it. If I had "Blue Velvet", I’d play it too !

If I had a Papst Blue Ribbon I'd drink it in his honour.

Hopper was the only person to portray a crazed druggie while quoting TS Elliot, or so I believe (in Apocalypse Now). He was certainly the only actor who could pull that off.

Some of his scenes wasn't "acting", if you know what I mean

I was really sad to hear that. I had the pleasure of getting to know Dennis Hopper a little over the course of a couple weeks in 1986 while I was working as a vehicle wrangler (and one of the unofficial Dennis wranglers) during the filming of Chainsaw Massacre II at various locations north of Austin. He was a very talented and interesting guy. But like so many folks in his profession, it seemed his talent and demons were seldom in balance.
