    Loon Mountain Games

Today I received my ESTA approval from the US Department of Homeland Security to visit USA in September of this year for the Loon Mountain Games at Lincoln, NH. After going through lots of hoops to obtain permission for my first ever visit to USA last year, the application went through very quickly this time as they already had all my details and the only change was that I had renewed my passport in the meantime.
SteveB has offered to drive me from Boston Airport to Loon Mountain.
Hopefully I will meet some of you at Loon Mountain and there may also be an opportunity for a kilt night in Boston.

    Alex,

You'll love Loon Mt. Lots to do and see there. If my geography serves me correctly, Loon is in the White Mountains. While there, you NEED to go atop Mt. Washington...drive, walk, run, bike, or take the cograilroad.

Enjoy your trip. Of course, I know you'll supply us with lots of pics!

I enjoy the Games at Loon Mountain. If you can get there for friday it is a little less crowded. Saturday is a madhouse there but there is alot going on.

Last year was my first time at the Games at Loon mountain. It was fantastic!
It is held at a ski resort and we forgot about the temperature changes with higher altitude. We froze our butts off camping but willl be there again this year.

    Thumbs up Loon Mountain

Stop by the Buchanan Clan Tent and say hello - we are honored clan this year so won't be hard to find. The New Hampshire Highland Games are great and you are sure to have a good time. If you don't get to Mount Washington you can always ride the tram at Loon and get a good view of the Presidential Range.

Yup, planning to be there the whole weekend this year. As Tartan Tess said, it was cold (upper 40's and about 20 mph wind) but the sun did eventually come out. Go early (like at opening) to beat the long lines getting in and easier to see the vendors/
