My meetings with Hamish

I have had the honor to meet Hamish three times.

The first was during his Holiday to Canada in 2006.

This is one of my favorite photos of Hamish.


My shop was graced by a visit from Hamish along with MacMan, David, & Raphael.




The second was during his Holiday to Palm Springs, CA in 2008.

Here all who have gathered to have the pleasure of meeting Hamish pose outside the restaurant before dinner.



The third time I met my friend Ham was during my Holiday to the UK in 2009.
Hamish was kind enough to host my wife Bobbie and I at his home in Storrington.

I have never met a kinder, more genteel man in my life.

If there is one photo that I hope will convey my feelings towards my friend I hope this will show all the regard I have for Hamish.

Yes indeed I have! I spent a very pleasent hour with Hamish and Jim at the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge, there was a picture published here recording the event. He is not only a legend(a modest one), he is also an absolute gentleman with a wonderful sense of humour.I am dismayed that Hamish has been under the weather and I have no doubts that that sense of humour of his will help see him through these tough times that he has had to endure.

I have had the pleasure of sharing two Ferintosh Burns weekends with Hamish (among others). We also missed him on one other occaision as we had to leave for Edinburgh mere hours before Hamish arrived at Feritosh on his way to Oban for Howie Nicholsby's wedding.

Tonight when I'm away from our company firewall I'll dig up some pics and post them here.

My wife and I had a smashin' time at the Rumney Folk Festival in Cardiff last year. I was a great pleasure to meet Hamish there.

and at least twice at Ferintosh Guest House Dumfries.
