    Muckle & Folk Festival

Firstly it gives me great pleasure to hand over the Muckle to John ,, (English Bloke).
.... John, we can pm and co ordinate the weekend in sept. If u time to spare we can take to the bus and have a bevy n some fab pub grub up in waterfall country at the same time.

Also RUMNEY FOLK FESTIVAL is to be held on Fri 17th Sept 7pm till late and continue Sat 18th Sept starting 5pm till late. It will all be held indoors so the weather this year wont effect it. It will finish with a Ceilidh starting bout 10.30pm on the Sat. There will also be craft stalls and food available etc on the sat as well. On the Sun for those up for it we are taking to the train and bus and heading for the mountains and a farmers pub lunchtime session. I started rehearsing already as soon as I put the Muckle down

Anyone interested in more info about the festival please pm me.

Good to see that the Muckle Clock will have a good home...
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.

Derek. Apologies for the late reply, I'm being sautéed gradually in Northern Turkey right now and connections are a bit thin on the ground. Chuffed to bits though and pleased as punch to accept the Muckle from you. I am honoured. Me an' Mrs English Bloke would be delighted to come down and collect it as agreed an' a bus trip to the waterfalls sounds just the ticket. I think we'll probably be best with a stop-over though so I'll get us booked into that nice guest-house we stayed in last year. Thanks again. Unfortunately I can't get to the Folk Festival w/e 17 Sep as I'm away but it will be lovely to see you both again before that. Let me know via pm which weekend (4/5 or 11/12) is best for you, we're good for either.
