    Motto pronounciation help

My family motto is "Le cúram thig fás" with the accent marks reversed. I understand the translation to mean "From care comes growth," however I don't remember how it is pronounced. I believe my grandfather pronounced it "le koorum hig fahsh."

    Can anybody help?

Halo Mark, Cimmar a tha thu (How are you)?
You've got it almost perfect. "fas" is pronounced 'faass". The 'H' isn't really a letter in the Gaelic but a punctuation mark meaning the previous letter is aspirated as a 'puff of air'. The reversed accent marks indicate that the letter is drawn out,or in musical terms, held for an extra beat.
    Gle mhath (well done)! CaptMac
