Guinness resumes US distribution of "Foreign Extra"
Link
Too bad I'm on the wagon for a few months, at least I'll have something "Extra" to look forward to!

In the Province of Quebec, where beer retailers run free unlike in much of the rest of Canuckistan, Costco used to sell their usual (ie, sizable) cases of imported Guinness for very nice prices. That stopped a while ago and QC Costco effectively became the domain of one bloated beer company- and I'm still trying to figure out whether I should blame Guinness or Costco. But even if I do, which one am I gonna boycott? They are both a major source of food in my life! (When, that is, Guinness is selling for less than the price of gold )
Enjoy the good life, my US friends... I was once just like you....

I'm pretty sure they were serving Kilkenny at the Sterling RennFaire this summer....
Looking forward to the Guiness Foreign Extra. That special 250th anniversary stuff they came up with in '09 was rather hideous - like extra fizzy stout!

AAAGGGHHH! I couldn't make it this year either!
According to the local "Beers of the World" guys here, Kilkenny is not available in the states so I have been picking up a case when my travels lead me north of the border.

Kilkenny is available in the US, on the east coast.
