New hose and winter jacket.
G'day,
I received these hose a while back now and finally have some time to my self to get this up.
I bought two pair of hose from Chris at Dunadd Trading Company. To start with I would like to compliment him on his amazing service and help throughout the purchasing process.
First I would like to talk about the pair I am wearing in the following picture. and do excuse the washing ![Embarassed](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)

These are the bowmore in Loden with red garter ties. They are great and the length, although perplexing at first, is amazing. I can triple fold them perfectly and they look superb. I hope you agree.

These second pair are the ancient scott hose. They are shorter than the bowmore hose and took a little bit of trial and error to get the fold to look right and take a little more time to get looking good. Despite this, they too are an amazing pair of hose and money well spent.

Lastly, I picked this Jacket up the other week. I have always wanted a jacket in this style but have either been too poor or not liked the cut. I found this and liked the length instantly thinking of the kilt. Unfortunately my suit jackets peek out the bottom so it wont be good for that but as a kilt and casual jacket I think I have picked a winner.
What are your thoughts? And one last shout out to Chris for his help and great quality hose.
Rob

Very nice hoses.
How tall are you? You see, I also thinking of buying hoses from Chris, but have long legs so I'm dependent on long enough hoses so I can fold them properly. I've actually thought of a similar jacket like yours to go along with the kilt. Now I see that it fits you very well, I have no excuse not to buy one, pay day coming up and all.
Well done!

Thanks for the compliments.
Oddern, I am 5' 8" (174cm) and wearing the M size hose. I can say confidently that these would stretch to fit somebody at least 180cm or 5' 11". Then there is still the larger sizes. I would suggest emailing Chris for his advice. I think that he told me that he was on the taller side so could probably tell you better. Best of luck.

Hi Rob,
The hose are excellent - they can really make a difference to an outfit, lifting it from ordinary to spectacular.
I was wondering about the jacket. I think it will be a good winter jacket and balances the kilt well. My only question - are the bottom two buttons too tight? It might just be the vagaries of the photograph, but it does seem to be pulling at the middle button.
I might very well be wrong and only you will know, but I think that if the lower buttons were moved over an inch the jacket might sit better.
But either way, a really good alternative to the ubiquitous 'puffer' jackets.
Regards
Chas

Thanks everyone.
Chas,
Yeah, I was thinking about that too. I normally only have the middle button done up and it isn't as noticeable. The shoulders are perfect so from there anything can be changed pretty much... unless I put on a few stone.
