    Eggnog

Tis the Season. So how do you like your eggnog, straight or spiked?

    Cheers,

I couldn't have said it better!

I had to vote for bourbon, but growing up it depended on who was making it. My father always included bourbon my mother preferred dark rum. Of course there was always a small batch taken off for us kids prior to adding the spirits, but most years we managed to sneak a cup or two of the real stuff.

Now I will also add that the eggnog I grew up with is far superior to that liquid stuff that comes in the carton. It was so think that some guests would actually use a spoon rather than drink it from the punch cups.

If I were to have it, I like strait eggnog, though I have had spiked.

I suppose if there was just a splash, I wouldn't care. I don't like the feeling of intoxication.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Eggnog along with honey is one of those things I despise. At xmas time I'll have what seems traditional, rum and eggnog, hold the eggnog, but only if it's good rum since I'm a whiskey, whisky, gin or beer drinker first. Wine always suits and if I want to go festive I can always mull it.

I love eggnog, either "with" or "without". I like it with bourbon--but only just a splash to enhance the flavour of the eggnog.

Not at all. It's too rich and creamy. Plus, I went vegan 4 years ago, so that was the end of a very brief eggnog career.

    What Piperdbh, no Tofunog?

Not a big drinker, so straight with some additional nutmeg on top does it for me.
