New sporran is here!

My custom hunting sporran from Nighthawk just arrived! This sporran is a true work of art. It is so much more impressive than photos can convey. Here is where you can see pictures of it for now until I get some photos taken over Christmas with the family.

I'm so very pleased that you like it, Hugh. It was my first attempt at this type of project- layering the leather presented a particular problem when stitching! Needles tend to break when the leather is too thick! I must have gone through an entire pack of needles sewing this together!! I think I'm going to make one for myself in the New Year, using black leather, green highlights, and green thread. I really like the way the green thread stands out on the black leaves, and it really compliments the cross well. Can't wait to see the pics of it in use! In-use pictures always look better than gallery style pics anyway- and my camera screen is busted, so it's hard for me to get good pictures... My camera is what I like to call a point-and-hope.
