    A few new sporrans

Over the last year or so I seem to have acquired a few new sporrans from various vendors, actually more than I realized until I started organizing them in my kilt closet (closet organizer a father's day gift from my wife last year). I guess it might be nice to show off a few, although some I have not yet even worn, let alone be photographed in. They will show up in future pics as I have numerous opportunities to wear them over the coming year, and intend to make use of those opportunities.

A pair of semi dress/daywear sporrans I picked up in Scotland while on my golf odyssey last summer---fur of...ummmm... "unknown" source.

A pair of dress sporrans, leather hunting style with chrome cantle and a bovine speckled cream fur with thistle pattern cantle in antique chrome.

A leather hunting sporran with inlaid faux grey alligator, and a bobcat fur L&M daywear I picked up from Rocky when he cleared out his closet.

A pair of daywear sporrans with pin drop closures, left more semidress in speckled bovine fur with crossing double chain tassles, and right a somewhat ornate black leather with braided ornamentation.

Justification? None in particular, I just liked their looks and they were within my budget, and I prefer a bit of variety to spice up things in my life. Wife would probably say "capricious" if she hasn't already. Good news is that the more you have the less frequently each is worn and the less likely to get worn out or damaged, as well as less of a "loss" if one does somehow get damaged. Enjoy.

Very excellent Jeff. It was generous of you to provide those "unknown" skins a home.

    I'm a hater...

I'm accepting donations if you have extra sporrans that you don't feel will get proper use? I'm in need of a good daywear black...I really like the alligator inlaid hunting one! Just kidding...but I'm seriously thinking that I need to find a job that pays me more so I can keep up!
