    Waistcoat from New Jersey Piper

I received my waistcoat yesterday, a burgundy colored premium vest. It was pretty much what I expected. Unfortunately, after trying it on, I think it is to big. But not being well versed in the world of waistcoats, I wanted to get another opinion. It was my belief that waistcoats should be snug fitting, and this one is by no means snug. I can pull the right side about 6 inches past the edge of the left side, in other words, it could practically be a double breasted vest
This is what the back looks like...

...while I do this up front.

    So, what say you?

I'd try going down a size. I've had the same issue with the exact same vests, a little too long and a little too big based on their size chart.
I got them for like 20 bucks from Uniformal wearhouse.

Yeah, it looks a touch too big. I have a black one from Jersey Piper, and it fit me just fine- but I think my left leg may actually weigh more than your entire body, so that may also have something to do with it fitting me well!

Doh! I just ordered a vest from NJ Piper last week....

Those "Cafe Style" vests from Uniformal look pretty interesting, too.

I believe what you are paying for from New Jersey Piper (besides a mark-up so he makes money) is his replacement of the buttons that come on it.

... and it showed up this afternoon; no problem with the fit either.
