Stuck at work when new kilt just showed up
Well, my new (and first) kilt just arrived in the mail. Driving me nuts cause I'm stuck at work for another few hours and have to go to a dinner before I can finally get my hands on it.
Too excited to keep staring at this report I'm supposed to be working on. Well, there goes the productivity for the day.

You've probably heard this before. "A bus stops at a bus station. A train stops at a train station. On my desk, I have a workstation".

That. Is. TERRIBLE!!! Bummer, I can seriously understand.
My wife likes to call me to inform me of my packages arriving. It doesn't matter what it is, it drives me nuts. For example, litterally moments before reading this she called to let me know my Dropkick Murphys tickets arrived for an upcoming concert (yes...a concert in JULY, btw). Now, I'm dying to get home just to see a ticket stub
Enjoy the anticipation, and be sure to post some pictures here so we can see your new kilt!!!

I hate that... I got lucky today, though. See, I'm a huge Iron Maiden, and the band had to cancel all their Japan gigs for obvious reasons. So as a charity, they were selling off all the event shirts for the Japanese shows and donating all profits to the Japanese Red Cross. Well, I had to get in on that- it's for a great cause after all. I got home today right as the mailman was dropping my shirt off! I've never had that happen...
So what you have is what we call a "jones." I dodged it for the first time in years, you didn't, and it sucks. Good luck dealing with it... and we do expect pics of your new kilt.

Its only worse when someone at your house opens the package and tells you how nice your kilt is and you can't leave work yet.

Once I get my son in bed tonight the kilt will be tried on and pictures shall be taken. No promises on quality of pics, I'll be on my own since its girls night out for the wife.
Yeah, I think I get the meaning behind jonesing now.

My wife did that to me with my Colorado state... "It's so beautiful! I can't wait for you to see it!"
