Advice requested on making a military box pleated kilt
Recently I was asked to make a military box pleated kilt. I've made many knife pleated kilts and quite a few box pleated kilts. But this will be my first attempt at a military box pleated kilt.
Luckily I'm able to borrow one to analyze and to use as a model. The pleats look as if they were done as for a knife pleated kilt, and then folded back the opposite direction (maybe when doing the steeking, after the cut-outs ?????).
On the other hand, should it be treated as a box pleated kilt, but with more narrow pleats?
Has anyone had experience making one? I would be very grateful for advice.
