Ya Gotta Love A Drunk
So, just spent Friday and Saturday down in Flagstaff kilted. Kilted at the docs, around town, at restaurants - nary a kilt comment - Flagstaff is a kilt friendly town.
Got back home to Page, AZ this afternoon and stopped at the supermarket for grub and a drunk sort of staggers up to me. We know each other from his very frequent visits to the detox unit I manage. He says, "Nice skirt, I like it."
So I politely told him, "Its called a kilt"...then said, "But they should have called it a 'Girl Getter.'"
That puzzled his besotted mind - but I like the response he helped me create.
Gonna try the response, "Its my Girl Getter" a few more times and see how it plays out.

Ah, glad I don't drink anymore.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I don't drink any more, either. Or any less, for that matter... All things in moderation. A shot here, a shot there... a bottle of 15 year Highland Park will last me 4 or 5 months.

So let's all get drunk and go to heaven!
Works for me!!

Ya... I guess the gods didn't put that part of my brain back in after they chopped it into little pieces. I still drink coffee, though.

We all have our vices!

I think Jimmy Buffet had a different spin on it when I was at the University.

Never knew the source of that... But it was frequently used as justification for partying.

I've seen attributed to the Protestant reformer Martin Luther, who was noted for his love of beer.
