    Tartan Weight

If 4 yards of a length of tartan weighs 3.8 lbs., what weight is the tartan fabric? I am sure someone here knows how to do the conversion...

Doing the math it comes out to 15.2 oz. Could be 16oz from any of the major vendors in double width.

Seems it is a heavyweight, perfect for a kilt.
