    Hurricane Irene - Aug 27, 2011

Some photos of the storm. She made landfall about 30 mile east of us!

    Yuck Brian.

We really dodged the bullet here but looks like you got quite a storm down there.

Entire villages were wiped out here and we got it again from Lee/Katia. The pub where we have our kilt nights is currently full of flood water. It was halfway up the door when a friend reported to me early this afternoon. Upwards of 20,000 people are being evacuated in the area of Binghamton, NY and south into northeastern Pennsylvania.

Indeed. Massive flooding and evacuations in the region. McGirk's Pub - our kilt night locale, as Bob states - is currently wiped out. Lots of road and highway closures. Hell, entire neighborhoods, plazas, villages, etc. are inaccessible. (And I'm getting REALLY tired of pumping out my basement!)
