Way Down Upon the Swanage Railway

I was back at Swanage on the English south coast this week for the annual Southern Locomotives Limited members week and had another opportunity to fire and drive one of the steam engines, number 34070 which is a Bulleid Battle of Britain class Pacific (4-6-2) named Manston, after the Battle of Britain airfield at Manston in Kent. Unfrortunately the Saturday night dinner on the train was cancelled this year so no opportunity to wear my RAF tartan kilt beside the locomotive.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.

Alex, I am amazed at how you find the time to do all the stuff that you do. Great pic of the loco.
