    Exclamation A Cautionary Word

I'm sorry to say that I am in the midst of a problem with a previously trouble-free vendor (though not a forum advertiser).

On Sept. 14 I ordered two kilts from Amerikilt. I'm preparing a wardrobe for a tropical vacation in January and I have really enjoyed my one Amerikilt in hot weather. So, why not a couple more?

The kilts were shipped on Oct. 10 so I concluded that they had to be made for me. They arrived on Oct. 17. I pulled them from their box and they looked fine. On trying them on they were both too big, about three inches too big.

In the past eight days I have sent three emails and left one voice message with no response. The purchase was handled through PayPal so I have registered a dispute with them. I have done this because there are time limits in place should the dispute go to judgement by PayPal.

I don't know if there are extenuating circumstances that have prevented a reply but I'm covering my butt.

I know many members have purchased from Mr. Butler as have I in the past, without issue. I am still hopeful that all will work out but ........

Best of luck in resolving this Mike. Hopefully the Paypal resolution team will shake them into action.

Mike's usually good to resolve issues, once you get ahold of him. He might be out on tour working festivals and such.

    Re: A Cautionary Word

EXACTLY. I just received an email from Mike and he was at a fest in Florida without internet access. He has assured me that my issues will be dealt with and he will cover any costs I incur. I feel a little bit bad about having to go the route that I did but with so many people having trouble with other sellers I thought it prudent. Therefore I'm happy to say at this time that Amerikilt is a "stand up" business. I apologize to Amerikilt and Michael Butler for any inconvenience this may have caused.
