Kilted hikes - Best there is! Good to remember there are trees in other parts of the World.

Re: Tallulah River gorge
It is certainly gorgeous, I believe it's in Georgia.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

LOL! I wish, but we are visiting friends in Franklin, NC, and this is about 30 minutes away in north Georgia. We had a great time hiking around. Prior to these pictures, we were at this attraction, Goats on the Roof, which was a fun time. A tourist attraction, but a fun one, and free admission, so we only lost the money we spent on souvenirs!
Really enjoying the cool weather and beautiful colors, 37 fahrenheit when we woke up this morning with a high of about 55. Tonight will be in the 20's! We will probably be glad to get home on Monday!

Re: Tallulah River gorge
Beautiful photos! We get fall color here, but the trees rarely get that intensity of color. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Tallulah River gorge
The goats were fun. The kids had a great time feeding them using some interesting feeding mechanisms. One was a bike that the kids pedaled to move a cup of food up a chain to feed the goats up on the roof. Another was a clothes line on a set of pulleys. Again, you put food into the cup, then pulled it across to the goats. All in all, a fun little stop. And since it was so cold, they had a fire going outside and the kids got to roast marshmallows!
