BBC Radio 4 - In Our Time

There is an excellent programme on BBC Radio 4 called In Our Time which covers a wide range of historical subjects as well as philosophy, religion, science, art, etc. I think it would be impossible not to find something of interest in its archives however I have picked out those programmes of particular interest to the members of this forum and include links below. Enjoy and be enlightened!

I just recently started listening to this program; it reminds me a lot of a program that Chicago's public radio station used to produce called "Odyssey" - wide-ranging, as detailed as possible in an hour, and with actual experts on the subject. I really missed "Odyssey" when it went off the air, and this is a very welcome alternative.

The shows Fougasse linked to above can be found in podcast form in iTunes. Search the iTunes store for "In Our Time Archive" and you'll find old episodes, sorted into the categories of History, Science, Culture, Religion, and Philosophy. You can also subscribe to the current series podcasts by just searching for "In Our Time."

Just when I thought I had finally brought my podcast backlog down to a manageable size. *sigh*
