What did you get for Xmas!?
I had a very successful nerd christmas. In short: I laid in my bed last night with my Bon Temps Football t-shirt on (from True Blood) while reading The Hobbit (from my LOTR box set) while first season of The Walking Dead was playing on my laptop.
Got a lot of first and second seasons of shows (Walking Dead, True Blood, Modern Family), and cds (some country, some sountracks, some celtic). Ummm.....what else. Books: (Game of Thrones box set and LOTR box set). I was a very happy nerd.
what did the rest of you get!? What was your favorite gift that yuo got and what was your favorite gift that you gave:
Got: My iPod
Gave: the scarf that I crocheted for my boyfriend

Nuttin'. Love her dearly, but alas my wife is not a good gift giver. But from me she got a box of 30 multi-coloured silk scarves, a coffee grinder, and a necklace.

Re: What did you get for Xmas!?
I was very thankful for the lump of coal I received for my Christmas gift; though I outwardly grumbled about it. I worked very hard at expressing my inner, larval curmudgeon all year.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

A lump of coal would be most welcome around these parts. Japanese homes are essentially made of wood and paper, do NOT have insulation, or double-paned windows, or central heating and oil/kerosene space heaters are the only way to heat the rooms inside at a semi-reasonable price (and with the global price of oil, that ain't cheap either)... It's not unusual for our hallways and bathroom to be at a constant 6C (43F) all winter long. When I'm in the kitchen making my morning coffee, I can see my breath. (Like this morning).

You don't keep a coffee maker on the nightstand by the bed?
