Kilts in "We Bought a Zoo"

Saw this movie recently and kilts make a cameo. For those who don't know the plot, a widower buys a small private zoo and moves himself and his children there. One character, the designer of the enclosures and a main zookeeper, has some scenes kilted. His character is supposed to be Scottish and one scene, in the local bar, he is kilted, throwing back Scotch and darts, going on about an inspector who he dislikes. His tartan is one I didn't recognize, but an attractive one: muted tones of brown, green and grey. Other Scottish signifiers were Tennants on draft and Glenlivet behind the bar. The movie was a little predictable, but well acted and paced, so I enjoyed it.

    Ha! I was right!

When I first saw the previews for this movie, I could swear I saw a very brief image of a man in a kilt. I immediately went online and hunted up the trailers for it, but could not find any version with a kilt. I was starting to think I was crazy, or that I was in that particular mode where I see kilts where none exist.

Re: Kilts in "We Bought a Zoo"

Cool! Funny sidenote-I received a text message late last week, from a good mate of mine, who is a hydrologist, and owns his own Chicago-based company. He often travels to Haiti to drill for freshwater for the surrounding villages and towns. Apparently, Matt Damon, Matt's brother and father, were in Haiti at the same time drilling for freshwater with another company. My friend James had the opportunity to work with the Damons and had several photos taken of him and Matt-one of these photos was sent to me as a text-I was quite surprised indeed! I have been requested not to post any of the photos, due to legal reasons, however, I assure you, the story is indeed true.

    Cheers,
