The Scottish Lion Import Shop
I was just wondering if anyone else has had issues with getting their product from this company or dealing with them and not hearing back after you leave messages for them to get ahold of you? I ordered a Farquharson wthrd from them back in Agust of 2011 box pleated to stripe, I recieved a knife to sett soo I called them and they told me that they were sorry and would get right on top of fixing my order soo I sent them the wrong kilt back about 3 months agoe and I've been calling for the past 3 weeks trying to get ahold of someone for an update and NO ONE has called back. I was just wondering if anyone else has had issues with this company.

Re: Scottish Lion Imports shop In NH - I do not have a kilt from them, but my parents had ordered a cap and tie for me several years ago, and I remember them saying it took the company more than six months to ship the items. Good luck - be persistent!

This is my advice as well. It took many months, emails and phone calls, but I eventually got what I ordered and was happy with the product.

Re: The Scottish Lion Import Shop
I have dealt with them before, but they screwed up an order of mine, so I got my money back, cut my ties with them, and have never looked back since. There's no excuse for this sort if incompetence these days. I only have a select few companies I choose to do business with now.
Best of luck!

Re: The Scottish Lion Import Shop
Scottish Lion was one of the early mail-order suppliers of Scottish imports in the United States and one of the first mass rental sources for kilt outfits. I had no problems with them back in 1999 when my wedding party kilted up for the event. That said, it is my understanding that they have not been able to keep pace with the growing online market. There are better options today.

They've also changed ownership since 1999. My only dealings with them were circa 2001-02 -- again prior to the ownership change.
I still receive their e-mails and print catalogs from time to time, but haven't been especially impressed.

I lived in North Conway N.H. for many years in the 60s and 70s. I was a frequent customer then. It saddens me to see this once excellent company slide so badly.
