Cured my jonesing by ordering more(!?!?)

I guess the cure for jonesing is a potential downward spiral to financial ruin. LOL

While waiting for the "formal" apparel order from Scotweb, I decided to fill in some gaps in the casual end of the wardrobe. So I went "shopping" for more stuff. I found some decent looking deals on more casual items, on e-bay, on cotton-poly 8-yd casuals...

There was also this item, that looked like it could be handy...

I liked these as nice generic alternatives to the very bright Buchanan Modern colors of the wool kilt I'm waiting on. They should work well for the local riverfront festivals in my town, and on my big family reunion vacation in July, I think.

Although the wait for these items will be considerably less than the big order, I can see I'm getting sucked in.

I have the same Scottish National and really like it. Yes, it looks like you are definitely infected.

    And so it begins...

I placed this order before going to bed last night. This morning, I had emails indicating that everything has shipped! So, even after receiving these items, I'll still have a month to wait for the big order! That's a whole month during which I'll probably end up doing more shopping!

Just think of all the kilting options you will now have. Enjoy the addiction. You may need to start your own DIY project to occupy your time.

I found these hangers that they call frogs during my wait. A little shorter, plain or with an assortment of emblem and leather color options.
A little different than the standard hangers I think my sporran will swing less. And of course I could'nt do without the Eagles. They are next to Rocky's hangers and Rob Roy sporran.

The frogs were $20 the UPS was $16.34

Ordering more kit is not a cure for the jones, only a temporary but still satisfying measure to stretch it out and balance" the jones", as now you have several minor jones's that are more quickly satisfied, albeit to a smaller degree, while you await the satisfaction of the bigger jones. This is called maintaining the high in drug parlance, but realize that, sooner or later you will run out of money or things to order, or hit the second jones wall of having to wait longer for more specialized items of kit which will only then be addititive jones's to your already existing jones. Eventually you will come down off this high, even if only for a little while, until the high of actually wearing the stuff kicks in. Vicious cycle really---makes it easy, looking in from the outside, to understand addiction all the more, as I am sure Ron could attest as an addiction counsellor. Sooner or later you will find a balance between the jones satisfactions and the jones anticipations that will keep you interested but hopefully not painfully or destructively addicted. I am not there yet, but good luck with that.

    Aye, well said.

    Shop 'til you drop!

As your addiction advances you'll find yourself selling off kilts and accessories to reinvest in other kilts and accessories so you can get high again....flow with it....savor it....nurture it...

When you die your family can sell off your kilts to pay the final expenses....

If you get to the point where you feel like you need to burglarize to get money to buy kilts and accessories then you should probably talk to someone...there ain't no kilts in prison...yet....

So is there a rehab program, for kilts? Is there a Betty Ford Clinic for Tartans?

Now I'm wondering... Do the Borg have a tartan? Resistance is futile.
