60oz Guinness in a pub!!
A group of us pipers and drummers played in the Laguna Beach Parade yesterday.
Afterwards, time for refreshments at Hennessy's Tavern.
Our buddy Scott ordered a 60oz Guinness. Cost $35 but you get to keep the glass!!

Did Scott walk out of the pub on his own, or did he need a little help??

That's 5/6s of a 6 pack in one fell swoop. A little embarrassing I would wager to have to admit to at least a couple trips to the men's room before you could even finish one glass of beer. One other disadvantage would be less frequent visits from a beautiful waitress. But then again, you could combine your beer drinking with your upper body workout instead of having to wait til after, could be quite a time savings there, and more time spent in the pub with your mates.

Hey! I got to lead your parade yesterday!
Good to see a few kilts strolling through town.
Sadly I was still somewhat occupied in the aftermath,
and limited in my choice of refreshments...
Cheers!

That is a beautiful thing! If you go back there, I will buy you one if you send me the glass. Seriously!

I love the glass! I'm Irish green with Guinness envy!

I'm with Mickey ... I'll buy the Guinness if you'll post the glass to me!
Cheers!

Re: 60oz Guinness in a pub!!
As a younger man, there was a pub near my house called the Silver Kingfish Tavern. On thursday nights they had $2 liter nights, and Guinness and Newcastle on tap. On top of that, they had some of the best burgers I can remember, and thick cut fries.
The burger and fries were $10, I would always tip $5 on my burger and first beer, and I still spent $30 bucks, so you can imagine how many liters of Guinness or Newcastle I put down. I'm just glad the walk home was only about a mile (about 7 city blocks).
A 60oz guinness would be no small feat for me these days, now that I've drastically reduced my weight and my alcohol consumption. I was toasty roasty from a 24-oz bottle of Highland Ale last night. I'm sure I'd put one down without being staggeringly drunk, but I wouldn't be able to drink much more.
Have fun and throw far. In that order, too. - o1d_dude
