state of Michigan "Up North tartan"

Just bought my first kilt a little over a month ago, Now i am thinking/planning for my second.

I really like the State of Michigan tartan, Michigan Up north
    http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tar....aspx?ref=5384

But i am not sure where to find it, or who to have make it.
I want it to be wool and don't mind spending some money on it. I should have it for a long time, so it will be a good investment.

Most likely it will be for casual occasions, but i would like it nice enough to be used for a more formal event, should the need ever arise.

Any ideas of where to start looking?
I have checked most kilt retailers on here and have not fond much with this tartan.

    Any help is appreciated

    Thanks,
    Bert

If you're ready to create an heirloom, why not have the tartan custom-woven by Dalgliesh in the specific shades that you like best? Any of the kiltmakers here on XMarks can source a custom-run...

    Best of luck!

I too have wanted this tartan in a kilt. I wpuld imagine it to be a custom run if tartan. If so, I would go with a kilt maker you trust/know and order via Dalgliesh.

I have tried to reach the designer as well. I would love to have her actually weave the tartan, but i am not sure she does that type of stuff.

I will be VERY interested to see how this comes along for you. I just can not afford another custom run tartan kilt at this time. If you do get a kilt, PLEASE post a picture.

I had this tartan custom woven by Dalgliesh for a client of mine last year. Oddly enough, I still have not made the kilt as I continue to wait on measurements. But I have about 7 yards single width of it. It's certainly possible to get it woven.

It's heavy weight. Ask and ye shall receive!
