    Interesting kilt pin

I must say at first glance I did not find it all that intriguing, but after studying it a while it began to grow on me...not to mention it's only 10 bucks!

As one that ties flies I have often thought of something like this as a kilt kin.
Matching colors to the tartan and obviously without the sharp hook.

My father, an avid fly-fisherman, would love this!

Yes, but they also come in other colours. I have seen all sorts whilst traveling in Bavaria (southern Germany, specifically in Munich, Bischofswiesen, Hallein, Berchtesgaden and Garmisch-Partenkirchen - my favourite region of Deutschland, bar-none!). The attire of the Bavarian man (see an example below) in all its tradition and romantic alpine glory, is somewhat similar to that of traditional Highland dress - lots wool, stag horn buttons, melton, tweed, hose, garters, ornate hats, leather, solid and check shirts, brooches, decorative accents, ornateness, etc.

    Prost!

All true, but it's a rare woman (non-German, anyway) that feels about lederhosen like many women feel about the kilt.
