Kilted violin player in bellydance video

I spotted a kilted musician in this bellydance performance video. Just thought I'd share Although I do know the dancer, I don't know the other performers and wasn't present. Looks like it was a fun show!

I apologize if someone else beat me to posting this on the forum, I didn't see it during a quick glance.

This just shows you how versatile a kilt can be! Wish I'd been there!!

Viola player Nathaniel Johnstone was one of the original members of Abney Park, the guys that figured out they could stick some goggles on a goth/ industrial band and call it a steampunk band. Lately he's been working with a bunch of other bands like Tempest, a Celtic/ Norwegian/ world music/ fusion band, and doing solo gigs.

I thought at first this was "Tempest" band that used to play the Celtic festivals in California.
Thanks Cynthia, I belly dance and my man plays the fiddle. Always a great combo.

I (try to) play the fiddle, and I used to belly dance. I miss it -- some day I'll get back to it, but I don't think I'll ever perform in public. It was one of the reasons I left the classes I took. I felt like they pushed performing too much, and if you didn't focus on it and the choreographed dances, I started feeling like I didn't have many options. Ah well! It was still a very enjoyable time!
