Impossible to Post every time, works like every 4th time

And rearranges the post. Been trying to do a simple post in the For Sale off and on most of the day. It just says X Marks isn't responding - and it isn't.

Gonna be a dull forum if we can't post. Guessing there are a LOT of glitches being addressed. Just add this to the list.

Ron, I know you mentioned that the Quick Reply wasn't working for you. Well I seem to now be having the same issue. I hit quick reply and get a dialog box asking me if I want to leave the page or stay on the page. When I click "leave", the post loads and there it is. This doesn't seem right to me.

Still happening, and getting worse. Pretty much have to type the message, copy it, then try to repost it over and over until it somehow takes.

When I hit the button to post a little box with the addy comes up in the lower left of my screen - but nothing happens until the not responding box comes up - then it does a check for problems but never finds one, then puts me back to the original screen WITHOUT my typed respose. So I paste my response and try again and go through it until it takes.

I'm guessing someone is working on this and all the other glitches from the upgrade. Sure glad its not me.

Its reallygetting evil here. Took to copying mymessages so when they are frozen out I can repost them. But this morning when I go to do that theyare not on my clipboard to paste. So nowtyping on Word to see if that will at least save them.
When editingthe cursor goes to the end of the message. If I scroll up and try to locate the cursor when I click to do that thecursor leaps back to the end of the message. The only way to locate the cursor is to use the direction bottons.
And, forsome reason the photos appear in the edit box instead of the typed photo addylike before.
No clue if I’llever get this posted, but gonna work at it.

Alsonoticing time is an issue. If I pretype, paste, and hit the post button it usually takes. If I have the reply box open for more than afew seconds it won’t take.

And, on thelast two posts here I’ve been frustrated when it locks up so just closed theentire webpage. But when I went backafter closing the entire page, and opened up X Marks again, the post wasthere. If I sit and wait for it to doall the stuff its been doing the post doesn’t take.
So what’sworking is pretyping on word, pasting and immediately hitting the post button.
If I’m notfast enough and it freezes then I dump out of the website and it seems to take.
    Hopefullythat helps figure it out.

Okay, forsome reason when I paste the Word it runs together words…when I edit to fixthat it won’t take. Goes through all thegyrations but won’t accept the run together word corrections. The tricks above aren’t working. And there doesn’t seem to be a reason forrunning the words together, like the end of the sentence wrap or something.
A littlething, but trying to provide information on what’s happening so it’ll maybe bean easier fix when time comes to look at this glitch.

ConfirmingTIME is a definite factor here.
Was able toedit three posts on my frustrated for sale posts. If I quickly deleted and hit the post buttonit took. If I delayed more than a fewseconds it froze up.

I've been hesitating to say anything about this because my set up with the screen reader is so different from what you all have on your screens, but from what Riverkilt is describing, it makes me wonder something.

Screen reader is showing me that that whole area of the quick reply editor with the buttons and everything is an edit field that opens like the edit box, and it shouldn't be doing that. I can type into it and it is a bottomless pit to nowhere. The edit box inside is also an edit field. If I don't get right on the edit box, it opens the edit field for the whole editor area.

I suspect, but can't be sure, that there is a problem with the ARIA tags because they can open like edit fields when they are clicked on. That is the only ARIA region of the forum as far as I can tell, but I haven't looked at the source markup. It would be an ARIA application tag.

I'm sorry if that isn't helpful, or doesn't make sense.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

The "bottomless pit to nowhere" sure makes sense to me. You may have saved the techies some time with what your rig shows.
