    Easter Dance 2012

The Bury St Edmunds Reel Club meets every Wednesday during the season, but some Wednesdays are "Specials". There is St Andrew's Day, Christmas Meeting, Burns Dance, End of Season and this one - the Easter Dance.

This is how I started and finished the night.

The waistcoat is navy blue and the jacket is very dark blue (often called policeman or Bobby blue).

    After a couple of dances.

    People starting to arrive.

Because it was an Easter Dance the ladies decided to wear "Easter Bonnets". Our chairman, Pat.

The first dance. The hat next to me is Ella, our dance instructor.

    Other dances and hats.

A walk-through before a dance. You can just see Ella the hat over kilted Murry's shoulder.

    A few more to come.

    Regards

    Chas

    Eight Hands Round and Back.

Setting up the tables for the food.

    Waiting patiently.

At this point, I should have lots of pictures of the food.

But I was obviously too busy eating to bother.

    So...

    That's it.

    Regards

    Chas

    Chas,

I always enjoy seeing SCD events from my fellow dancers around the world. Thanks for sharing! I think we dancers should have a similar rule to the standard XMTS "No pictures or it didn't happen" one where you have to share at least a few of your favorite dances performed at any given event.

I attended a monthly party on Saturday night and had a blast (best of set were the square set strathspey "The Robertson Rant" ' the jig "Christine M. Phillips"' and the old favorite "Miss Milligan's Strathspey".

    Cheers

    Jamie
