    Garters from U.S. supplier?

    Quick question,
Anyone know of a U.S. store that sells garters? The closest one i can find is shipping from Canada. Just trying to save some time and money.
    Cheers

How 'bout North Carolina? The Scottish Tartans Museum's online gift shop has 'em:

Do you mean elastic garters to use with flashes? If so, I'm also trying to find a source for them. Now I'm making my own with elastic and velcro, but I prefer the kind with the little metal hook.

North Carolina works! thanks Dale. Exactly what I was looking for. I much prefer this look to flashes, just never had the chance to buy any, much appreciated.

There is a lady from California on eBay (katarra8 is her handle), just query kilt flashes. She has tons of colours/styles and they are a good price and quality. I just got mine last week....of course you should try to buy Canadian whenever possible ;)

Have you looked into KiltrentalUSA.com? They are in north Scottsdale and the last time I was there getting some hose. I thought I saw garter ties for sale. Give them a call and see if I was imagining it or they actually have them for sale.

If you really want to be creative, save some money and have garter ties made to order.... make your own. I have to because the ones sold are too small for my legs. Here is a link to my Xmarks thread on making garter ties with a simple Inkle loom.

    http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...ion-1-a-72059/

If you are a woodworker you can even make the loom as I did. It is a great project and I have a few pair of handmade ties for my kilts now.

*** on North Carolina (the Scottish Tartan Museum). I was up there on Wednesday and bought a second set from them. They have quite a few different colors on hand and I was told that they can get matching knit ties if you want to coordinate on that end.
