    Scruffy Wallace Semi-Trad

Yesterday I gave Rocky a call and pulled the trigger on a Scruffy Wallace PV Semi-Trad. If you haven't seen it, here is the page on USAK's site. Here's a thread showing one in wool (post #23).

This time around the jones is worse than usual. First, I haven't purchased a kilt in nearly two years (--I know!). It's not technically a relapse since I've been making my own, but they're a whole other animal so it's apples and oranges.

Second, I've never had to wait for the mill before. Some guys consider it an expected part of the process, but I've always ordered in-stock or ready-to-ship tartans. Knowing that it's going to be a while before they can even start on the kilt is killing me, but I know when it gets here it will be worth it! Plus it's not really going to take much longer than a regular order, but it sure feels like it will.

Since this will probably bring on a full-blown relapse I'm anticipating a trip to a Kiltaholics Anonymous meeting. (This may not be the place to find a sponsor though.)

The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

I contemplated one for MimiMe, but with the way he's going he might outgrow it before he gets any use of it. Actually, he outgrew his last kilt before I finished making it! He's two, so that's pretty much his job right now.

My son's turns 3 this weekend and he'll out grow it sooner rather than later, but he wanted to have one that was the same as daddy's and I'll sell it here when it's too small.

I have a mini kilt in the Scruffy Wallace. I LOVE it! Your Jones will be worth the wait. This is the tartan I get the most comments on.

I saw pics of that one. I don't have the figure for it though. Are you sure it's the tartan that's getting the attention?

LOL, well, it is the shortest one. BUT I get the comments almost solely from women... so.... yes, it's the tartan.
