Looks cool.
From the pic it appears to have pleats most of the way round, yet also has a narrow overlapping front apron held together with studs in the modern style so yes I would classify this as a kilt.

Kilt's a pretty broad term in some cultures so it'd fit in. Really wish I could feel it - guessing its very soft and comfy to wear.

With the pleats as they are, the garment in question would not meet my definition of a kilt regardless of what it is made of, sorry.

I was thinking about that Jock.
"Are there kilts made from another materials?" I would love to ask you what you think about the Utilikilts, very popular in the US? I saw some of them made from Cotton Digital Camo.
Kilts are just made from wool? if its Polyester or Cotton its not a Kilt?

Kilts are made of synthetic tartan material too and is, I understand, quite common outwith Scotland as are non tartan kilts too. I saw my first cotton "utilikilt type" kilt some weeks ago(they are not common in my experience in Scotland), and I cannot say that I liked it much, but I rather grudgingly have to admit that it could not be described as anything else other than a kilt. Whatever I may, or may not, personally like, I like everyone else, have to accept that we all have our likes and dislikes, so an "each to their own" policy is handy. However if a question is asked then be prepared for all sorts of points of views!

Excellent appearance
YO, Hay! Jock Scot, I have a Black PV SWK that looks very much like O_Z's. So if we can agree that "a kilt is a kilt is a kilt is a kilt," then perhaps we can prevent the fashionista's from invading our little territory!
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

woof Looks like a kilt. Wear it proudly, frequently, publicly and you can call it Fred or Ginger, Cashmere or Croissant. Whatever? Looks like a kilt. arf In American Bully that spoken as, "ghrrrrrrrrrrrWHf"
