Headed for Ireland and Scotland
My family and I are leaving for a week in Ireland and a week in Scotland this week! Long awaited (10 years). The trip will be in Celebration of my daughters graduation from the US Naval Academy and commissioning into the US Navy. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I will be wearing my Kilt for the flight over, and several times while there.

That is great. I am very happy for you. Enjoy on behalf of all of us unable to make the trip. Regards to the Queen if you see her.

Sounds like a great trip, and a wonderful excuse to make it.
My congratulations to your daughter--you must be proud of her!
Closest I ever got to her accomplishment was a Greek girl I dated named Anna Polis. Obviously, she was much less discerning than the Academy.

Scotland is almost looking at its very best at the moment. Be prepared for the midge! They are about in huge numbers(a vintage year in fact) and seem to be at their most voracious at the moment. Nevertheless, have a great time.

Donnie, I'm not sure that Ireland or Scotland are ready for a good ol boy from south Louisiana. You'll love it there. Be sure to kiss the Blarney Stone. It will take your breath away. Tell the new Ensign that I am very proud of her and offer my congratulations.
