e-cigarettes and kilt hose
I don't drink or smoke anymore but I completed my third pair of Toirneach kilt hose and since I don't have a sgian dubh, I used my new Totally Wicked Odyssey e-cigarette in it's stead.

Great place to put things. I have at times stuck pens, my penny whistle, screw drivers etc. in the tops of my kilt hose -- an easy place to put things as well as retrieve them; much easier than trying to search for something in a pocket. About the only time I put a sgian dubh there is for "dress-up" although come to think of it, I have put a "working knife" (one I actually use to cut things -- a Cold Steel Pike) there sometimes.

Great looking hose. You knit those yourself? Very nice. I am impressed.

I'm picturing you walking around with all that and more stuffed in the tops of the hose all at once. Hmmm, this makes me think of something I should patent - the handyman's utility garter ties with holsters for all sorts of tools.

Funny how looking at youtube vids of electronic-pipes was what got me interested in actually trying out real tobacco pipes.

An e-cigarette, I've never heard that before, could you please explain. Sheesh, maybe I should get out a bit more . I think your knitting is impressive.

It's an electronic device designed to replace real cigarettes. It's supposed to be better for the health (both for the smoker and everyone else!). There is loads of information on the web. Google is your friend.

I agree, great looking hose. Maybe when I retire I can knit my own.
E-cigs? I have two sons that converted from nasty cigs (those commonly available) to e-cigs and love them. They got their breath back, besides saving a ton of bucks! In fact, my oldest son (who is 35) just got the same stainless steel doohickey you can see sticking out of the hose in the pic just below the mouthpiece. He has so much e-cig stuff he bought a small tackle box yesterday just to keep stuff in and organized!
My youngest son is a knife maker and suggests Santa may bring me a handmade sgian dubh this year...

Is that a digital e-cig or an analog one? Knitting is, of course, one of the earliest digital forms of data presentation. Oh, and by the way NICE HOSE! Wow. That is where I am heading but I am not there yet.
