    Regulation Doublet on eBay

    There is what appears to be a regulation coatee on eBay for sale incorrectly listed as a Prince Charlie. The item number is 180965060580 it is listed as being made by Hector Russell.

    Nope, not a regulation doublet. That's a Prince Charlie, as described. Though it is made with gauntlet cuffs instead of the usual braemar cuffs, which may have confused you.

    A regulation doublet has tashes on the bottom. Like this image.

    Doh! Looking back at it again, I too see the tashes. Don't know where they were the first time I looked at the pic! You folks are right, that is a regulation doublet.
