St. Ninian tartan fundraiser
This weekend is the annual Eucharistic Congress put on by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte. As campus minister for Western Carolina University, I will be down in Charlotte Friday and Saturday helping to man a Campus Ministry fundraising booth in the vendor area of the event.
What has this to do with X Marks and kilts? Well, part of the items we will be selling as our fundraiser will be goods made from the St. Ninian tartan (ties, scarves, etc., things you can buy on www.stniniantartan.com).
And, to expand on this fundraiser, I want to make the following offer. For every kilt order I get over my web site for the St. Ninian tartan on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday of this week, I will donate $75 of the purchase price to Campus Ministry in the Charlotte Diocese. So if you were thinking of a kilt in this tartan, this is a great time to pull the trigger, knowing that part of your purchase will be going towards a good cause (the other part going for the cause of feeding and clothing my children, which is also a good thing!).

Here I am at last year's Eucharistic Congress, during which we also sold tartan items as a fundraiser.
