    Lucked out today!

Went to the closest Goodwill store today to see if I could find a decent jacket to get tailored for the kilts. Lucked out...

Thanks Cecil. I'm still pinching myself. Heck, I wonder if I shouldn't just keep it for office wear. Fits me perfect, no hanging threads, liner is still very good. This Goodwill store stuff is okay. Certainly my 1st venture out only accelerated my interest. The jacket is at the cleaner's, should be back to me Tuesday, and Wednesday off it goes. I hope to have it back in a month or so from then. Slowly but surely...

Now will you be doing this work yourself or having it done for you? I will have to start checking out Goodwill myself.

Nice find! I did the same thing last year... It was a "long", so I didn't waiver in my decision to have it converted.

That is quite a score. Who is doing the conversion? It's such a nice jacket that it would be a shame to have it ruined by someone who doesn't know what they're doing...

I agree Colin. Let me say that it is being done by a member of XMarks with considerable experience with these specific brand of jackets. She was referred to me by another XMark member who has had exceptional work done by her. I'm a bit sensitive about using her name without her permission. Maybe I'm overly cautious?

Having said that, how are things in Toronto? I used to go there regularly on Via Rail from Cornwall back when I worked in Massena. It's a lovely city! Now I need a passport to cross the border. Maybe this year.

I assume that would be Vmac. If so, you are in good hands!
