    I really Love Rule #5

Rule 5 makes this about the only place on line that hasn't been infested with the political crazyness elsewhere. A safe haven for a sanity break. Not a kilt in the whole pile of 'em this crazy season. Good.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

While I agree with you, Chuck, I think the rule will be tested in the next 18 months. The following happened last night.

22:00 in Tescos in Bury St Edmunds. I had just come from Scottish Country Dancing and was kilted. I stopped in to see if there were any mark-down bargains before going home.
As I head towards the tills a gentleman spys my kilt (no eye contact),
As I pass him he mutters "Republican",
I stop and face him and say "No. Monarchist."
Only then does he make eye contact and says "That's OK then."

It obviously was in reference to the up coming Scottish Referendum, but and this is important, it would not have happened if I had not been wearing a kilt.

There will be highland games in England in 2013 and in referendum year of 2014. One can only wonder what effect there will be on them as time gets closer.

    Regards

    Chas

If Scotland does secede, do you think it will be safe to wear a kilt in England!

I love how this line of discussion so closely resembles the nature of the subject that goes undiscussed. Lol.

I hear the tap tap tap of the shoes dancing around #5. Beware the boot!

After watching parts of the politcal show that is now bombarding the US, I am so very glad that I have satellite TV and plenty of movies. I've done my research and know whom I'll be voting for. And political enquiries are treated as though it were "The Question" being uttered by a person who just doesn't get the hint.
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.

Boy Chuck, and if this isn't the truth! This is a very pleasant place to come amid all the silliness!

Whatever it is, I'm voting against it.

No worries - you don't get to vote. Scottish residents only.
Interesting what the response was to you, Chas. There is obviously a great deal of disinformation going about in your part of the world. Not that I'm a big fan of inherited privilege but I thought it was pretty clear about retaining her maj's services if independence happens.
