Visiting Edinburgh / update

Greetings, all. It has been a long while since I last visited the site, much less posted anything, but it is time for a social call.

I will be in Edinburgh 29 October through 1 November, with possible brief side trips to Glasgow and Dunfermline. I was not planning to bring a kilt, but would be happy to share a pint with someone who is wearing one ... or not. So let me know if you might be around that week.

I now live in Lille, and anyone travelling through the region should feel free to send me a PM. It's a convenient stop between London/Paris/Brussels, but a nice place to visit in itself.

Sadly, no responses and so no opportunity to meet any Scottish XMarkers. But a good time was had nonetheless - mostly in Edinburgh, but with sidetrips to Glasgow and to Stirling. I will be back soon; it had been far too long.

In the meantime, anyone travelling through Lille ...

Not my first trip, no, but my first in a very long while. Getting there from western Canada is not especially easy; from Lille, much easier. So I will be back. Perhaps kilted next time, especially if some XMarkers are willing to get together.
