Just returned from taking a largish metal music stand fully extended and carrying it horizontal around to the church hall (Cilted as norm, which I have now been for the past 9 months n 1 week). I turned the corner and bumped into three retired guys all walking their dogs ... "Flipping heck says one" .. and then I was waiting for it .. but .. he continued .. "Is that a metal detector" .. so we had about a chat about them as he was into metal detecting. I did explain that I wasnt and it was a music stand. The other two just listened and then we all went on our way ... no mention of what a nice morning it was or my cilt or anything else. Thats a first for me. So I have come to the conclusion that dogs, cilts and now music stands all help in having conversations with folk you have never met before.
