Diana, Princess of Wales Tartan by Lochcarron

This tartan is gorgeous! Not what I was expecting but very nice.

Might have to consider that for a future purchase. Princess Di is a distant cousin. Very distant but a cousin nonetheless.

I just showed some pictures, from that site, to my wife. She said, "Oh yes, I like that. I saw it when I was in Scotland last year."

If you are too busy to laugh, you are too busy.

It's a bit more feminine than I would normally wear but I believe I read that portions of the sales go to one or her charities.

Btw, although many years past, my condolences. She was a jewel.

This tartan reminds me a little of the Balmoral tartan; not that appealing initially, but when made into a kilt it could be fabulous. The colours of this tartan offer many options for a wide selection of complimentary tones in accessories. These things kinda grow on you. Personally, I like it.

I don't believe it is currently woven in heavy enough fabric for kilting.

Xman, you are correct. I have not seen it in abkilt-appropriate weight.
KenB, I agree. At first I thought, "hmm, too soft," but after a moment of looming at it it grew on me. Now I dig it. It isn't one I would wear often but I would wear it if I had it and the occasion presented itself.
