    Pimpin' :)

With my Budo teacher Masaaki Hatsumi, on December 2 at his birthday party at the Hotel Granbois, Noda-shi, Chiba-ken, Japan.

    Yes, his hair is purple.

    Initially,
Looking very smart indeed. Very well done. Classic bias cut waist coat, excellent undertstated hose and love the daywear sporran - looks like a Britt?

As for Sensei - I've dropped you a PM re: my limited understanding the distinction between Budo and Bujutsu as Samurai spirituality v. Combat Science. Don't want to hijack the thread or upset the MODS.

Again, looking very smart and much respect to your Martial Perseverance.

Thanks, Domehead. Aye, the sporran is a Ferguson Britt; this one is in Same (rayskin), which I thought would be especially suitable for Japan.

Looking good, Dale! I'll have to show this picture to my kids. They have been watching older Mythbusters episodes on Netflix and the other day I came in the living room and they were watching the Ninja episode you were in. I just said, "I know that guy. I've made a bunch of kilts for him."

My kids (who are all enrolled in our local Kung Fu academy) thought that was pretty awesome. I'll definitely show them this photo.

    Cheers,
    Matt

    Dale,

Your photo has actually answered a question I was going to pose to the group, about 5-button bias-cut tartan waistcoats, and whether The Rabble might consider them too "matchy-matchy", for wear with a kilt. I had in mind a look just as you've demonstrated in the pic (though I lack a sporran as nice as yours.) I really like the look. I would think it would look nice with a pair of dress slacks, as well.
