Haggis sandwiches?!
Well, we laid on a wee bit too big of a spread for our New Year meal at home and there was 1/2 a haggis left over.
Yesterday the wife asked if I could make her a haggis and sweet chilli sandwich to take to work.
It actually turned out be rather good...

Grand idea. I like haggis. I've had haggis fritters and haggis patties.......a sandwich? Why not. You may be starting a new trend in food culture

A Scottish fellow i used to work with here in the US would get misty eyed remembering the haggis pakora available at some curry shops in his home city.

that sounds delicious, I'll have go give that a go!
When I have Haggis left over I usually make a haggis hash the next morning for breakies. Haggis & diced roast potatoes (I prefer roast to mashed w/dinner, even though it's not traditional) warmed together in a pan, topped with a lightly fried egg, sunny side up.

I can see the intent of this thread.
To make ME hungry, and you people are doing a very good job of that.
Now if I ever have haggis leftovers, will know what to do with them
Thanks

Agreed and indeed. Such is our intent for supper tonight as I make enough to freeze for the months ahead. Perhaps we are onto a new diner menu item, the HLT instead of BLT. Haggis lettuce and tomatos.

I'm picturing a kilted chef on Next Food Network Star pitching his nouvelle Scotts cuisine....

Perhaps worth mentioning that vegetarian haggis is now quite popular in Scotland.
Maybe of interest to fellow veggies like CDNSushi and others. e.g.

Recommend the Macsween version but others are available. Don't know if they export.
