X Kilt for an infant. . .

So since I haven't convinced my hubby to wear a kilt for me (any suggestions?) I decided to make one for our four month old son. I changed the pattern a bit, because it would have looked weird with 3 inch pleats. So I did seven 2 inch pleats with a 6 inch apron and a 3 inch fell. I also did a one inch hem at the bottem that can be taken out so he can get a little more wear when he grows. Can't wait to do the next one.

I remember a while ago the "Dad and me" rage. Nice job on the kilt. Little clothes can be tricky.

GREAT JOB on the kilt! Your son looks great in it and starting him off early, he won't have the issues your husband may have about wearing one. I suggest attending events where men are commonly in kilts. Take up Scottish Country Dancing. It is such a great social event and you can find groups with classes almost everywhere. It is hard to come away from your first formal dance and not want to own your own kilt. Also, comments from the wife on "how great the men look in their kilts... and just imagine how hot YOU would look in one" don't hurt either. Good luck.

Nice! When I made my friend and mentor, Mike Pockoski a kilt to throw in, I took the leftover bits and made a little box pleat kilt for his daughter. I think that when she outgrows it, it's gonna get buckled on to the newest member of the family as well. Kilts on kids = WIN!
