    Fair Isle pullover

My wife knit me a fair isle pullover (sweater vest) recently. I just got the chance to try it out today with the kilt.

And with some decidedly non-Scottish head gear!

Perfection in yarn, as always. May we have some close-up pictures, por favor?

    The all-time greatest comeback.

If she knitted this with the brand of yarn for whom she is a designer, I think she should send them pictures to use in their advertising, and let the accolades start cascading in.

I was just pondering a fair isle knit tie hanging in my closet and wondered how it would look with a kilt if the colors were a little different....

Just got in from sea and logged on again. Absolutely amazing. Fine work in the knitting. Enjoy it in good health for a long time.

Also, the ensemble in the second photo just haunts me. It looks as though you colourized a 19th Cent photo. Been in the museum field too long? History absorbing you into its own? Not a bad thing mind you.
